Microsoft vydal novou verzi prohlížeče Windows Internet Explorer 9. Nová
verze přináší hardwarovou akceleraci, podporu HTML5 a opět o něco lepší
bezpečnost. 

Prohlížeč již nepodporuje Windows XP a je tedy možné jej nainstalovat
pouze do Windows Vista, Windows 7 a do Windows pro servery Windows Server
2008 R1/R2.
